Hello
friend, how has been your week? No matter how it may have turned out for you so
far, it could be better. Remember, life is a marathon and not a sprint.
Therefore do not wallow in self-pity and condemnation, but dust yourself back
up and keep moving. Martin Luther King Jr, said, “If you can’t fly, run; if you
can’t run, walk; if you can’t walk, crawl; but by all means keep moving.” So you need to keep
moving.
We began a
series on “The Holy Spirit: God’s Positioning System” last week. Truth be told,
I didn’t have anything specifically to write on last week, but as I started
typing my GPS (The Holy Spirit) guided me. As we continue in this series which
I have no idea as to when it would end, I believe that the Lord has things in
store for us.
Have you
made an ‘irreversible’ mistake? Have you put yourself in a position where no
answer seems to be in sight? Are you presently in a state of confusion? Are you
feeling depressed? Do you’ve suicidal thoughts? Are you finding it hard to
forgive yourself for a past deed? Just so you know, if you’re facing any or
every of these issues I’ve listed, you are not alone. Many across the globe
have passed through them, many are going through them now, and many will still
go through them.
Dear friend
I am here to let you know that the Holy Spirit has ALL the answers to whatever
you may be facing. At the beginning of creation in Genesis 1, the earth was a
chaotic mess, but the Holy Spirit who loves getting into messy situations and turning them around was present. He didn’t
deny nor ignore the mess, he hovered over it. In so doing, He stamped his
authority and influence upon the situation, thereby causing a dramatic change.
God did not
leave us as orphans (John 14:18), He gave us the Holy Spirit (who is God) to
remain and abide with us. So friend have it on good authority that no situation
is strong enough to put you down, the greater one lives inside of you (1 John
4:4) and you’d come out victorious.
Next week
we would take a peek into the role praying in other tongues plays in developing
a relationship with the Holy Spirit. And in subsequent weeks we would delve
into what he would do for us as our Comforter, Counselor, Helper, Intercessor,
Advocate, Strengthener, and Standby (John 14:16 Amplified).
Selah.
Remain blessed.
